The Shire has an extensive road network and a team of trained and skilled staff are continually involved in maintaining and upgrading the Shire’s roads. Highways and some main arterial roads are controlled by the Department of Main Roads and Council refers matters relating to these roads to the Department for their instructions regarding maintenance or construction. All other roads come under Council’s jurisdiction.
