The Lockyer Valley region is ideally situated being less than 1 hours drive from inner city Brisbane. It straddles the Warrego Highway and covers an area of approximately 2200 sq kms.  The population is growing quickly and there are currently around 35,000 residents.  Projections by the Department of Infrastructure and Planning show that Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s population is expected to grow to 57443 by 2031 or by an average of 2.4% per annum.  Further information can be obtained by clicking Economic and Industry Brief 2013 {PDF:1,303KB}.
