Works Update
Changed Traffic Conditions
Lockyer Valley Regional Council will be continuing or commencing the following works within the coming weeks:
Road Closures
The following roads are closed:
- Brightview Road, Regency Downs (between Gehrke Road and Staatz Quarry Road)
Bridges Closures
Thistlethwaite Bridge has been reduced to single lane access and restricted to a maximum load limit of 30 tonne. This restriction is a permanent restriction and will not be lifted on the current bridge structure.
Alternate access will be via Gatton Clifton Road & Grantham Winwill Road for any vehicles with a load of 30 tonne or more.
Flood Restoration
RoadTek Contractors will be undertaking restoration works on Gehrke Road, Glenore Grove. The works will take approximately three weeks to complete (weather permitting).
Access to all traffic, pedestrians, cyclists and motorists will be closed for this period. Alternate access will be available via Lorikeet Road, Staatz Quarry Road and Brightview Road.
Road closures and works on Brightview Road between Gehrke Road and Staatz Quarry Road are expected by this time.
Grantham Subdivision Update
Construction works are still currently underway at the Grantham Subdivision.
Council Road Maintenance
Placid Hills Area
Road maintenance works are currently being undertaken in the Placid Hills area. These works include gravel road grading and shoulder maintenance.
Parks, Gardens & Reserves
Council will be undertaking mowing within the following townships: Helidon, Forest Hill, Gatton and Laidley. Council will also be replacing the pavers at the Helidon Clock tower.
Vegetation Control
Routine slashing is currently being undertaken within the Summerholm and Flagstone Creek areas.
