The Lockyer Valley is one of the “Top 7 most fertile farming areas in the world”. Some of the largest farms employ hundreds of people and welcome backpackers and seasonal travellers.  If you're interested in casual picking and packing work, please call the Visitor Information Centre or email tourism@lvrc.qld.gov.au for a farm work brochure. Alternatively the centre is open 7 days, 8.30am - 5.00pm, however we recommend sourcing employment prior to travelling into the Lockyer Valley as labour demand can fluctuate between the seasons.
