Making of proposed subordinate local laws

Lockyer Valley Regional Council ("Council") has, by resolution dated the 28th day of November 2018, proposed to make Amending Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Animal Management) 2018.

 

Subordinate local laws amended

Amending Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Animal Management) 2018 amends Subordinate Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011.

 

Local laws that authorise the subordinate local laws to be made

Amending Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Animal Management) 2018 is made pursuant to Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011.

 

Anti-competitive provisions

No possible anti-competitive provisions have been identified in Amending Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Animal Management) 2018.

 

Purpose and general effect

The purpose and general effect of Amending Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Animal Management) 2018 is to amend Subordinate Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 to:

  1. describe a dog off-leash area to be located at Lake Apex Park, Gatton.

Public Consultation

Written submissions by any person in support of, or objecting to, the proposed subordinate local law are invited starting on 5 December 2018 and ending on 16 January 2019 inclusive.

During the consultation period Council will make available for inspection and purchase at Council's public offices at 26 Railway Street, Gatton and 9 Spicer Street, Laidley a copy of the proposed subordinate local law.

Submissions

Submissions must be received on or before 5pm on 16 January 2019 stating:

  1. the grounds of the submission; and
  2. the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.

Submissions can be lodged:

  1. by email to cbischoff@lvrc.qld.gov.au
  2. by mail to PO Box 82, Gatton Qld 4343; and
  3. in person at Council's offices at 26 Railway Street, Gatton or 9 Spicer Street, Laidley.

Submissions should be clearly marked "Submission – Proposed Subordinate Local Law".  If submitting electronically, please include this heading as the email subject line.
