Council Meeting

The next Ordinary Meeting of Lockyer Valley Regional Council will be held on Wednesday, 17 June 2026 at the Council Chambers commencing at 9am. The community is always welcome to come along and observe the discussions and decisions.

Spring Festival stallholders Wanted

If you would love to be part of the 2026 Laidley Spring Festival – now is your chance!

Valley Markets and Events is returning as this year’s Festival Precinct Markets’ Coordinator and is on the lookout for passionate stallholders to help bring the event to life.

Enter Laidley Spring Festival Parade!

Applications are now open for the 2026 Laidley Spring Festival Grand Street Parade, and this year’s theme is COUNTRY HARVEST.

Bring the country spirit to town with floats, tractors, farmyard fun, fresh produce, scarecrows and all things harvest season!

If it can be grown, driven, baked, picked, baled or loaded onto a trailer, we want to see it in the parade.

Parade Date: Saturday 12 September
Time: Rolling out from 10am sharp

Festival of Cultures EOIs Open

Council is seeking expressions of interest to hold activities, information stalls, cultural displays, or cultural performances at the upcoming Lockyer Valley Festival of Cultures.

The festival will be held on Sunday, 9 August from 11am – 4pm at the Gatton Shire Hall.

The aim of the festival is to celebrate all the region’s cultures and to promote intercultural connections.

Applications close on Friday, 17 July.

JP services available

JPs in the Community is an important service provided to our local community, and the library is a great space to access their services.

We have JPs in our branches at Gatton Library on Mondays, 10am - 12pm and Saturdays 9.30am - 10.30am, and at the Laidley Library on Wednesdays, 1.30pm - 3.30pm.

Agriculture Soils Forum 2026

Healthy Land & Water is hosting an Agricultural Soils Forum, designed for farmers, growers, and producers to explore practical approaches to improving soil health and supporting sustainable, profitable agriculture.

Never bin batteries

When household batteries are flat, it is important you dispose of them correctly. Never place batteries in your wheelie bin as they can spark fires and cause environmental damage.

Take them to a dedicated battery recycling drop off point instead, being sure to tape each end with sticky tape to limit fire risk.
