Amendments to Register of Fees and Charges 2026-2027
At the June Council meeting, Councillors adopted the 2026-27 Cost Recovery and Commercial Fees and Charges with the below amended fees, effective from 1 July 2026.
These include:
1.4.1 – Right to Information Application Fee - $59.60; Processing Charges (per fifteen minutes or part thereof) - $9.25.
2.8 – Entire Showgrounds – Show Ring, Grandstand, Camping Grounds & Carpark Booking Fee - $34.
2.9.12 – The Hub Laidley (old Laidley gym site) - Hire Fees per Hour – maximum of 12 Hours $42; Hire Fees per Half Day – 3 to 8 Hours $90; Hire Fees per Full Day – 7am to midnight - $140.

New Roads named
Council has approved several names for the new roads to be created within a residential development at Woodlands Road, Gatton.
These include Birchwood Circuit, Peach Street, Almond Street, Bluegum Street, Willow Street and Mango Street.
Council is responsible for assigning an official name to every gazetted road that is used to access properties. Proposed road names are considered in accordance with Council’s Naming of Roads, Parks, Landmarks and Facilities Policy.
Under Council’s policy, road names are to be appropriate and relevant, and from nominated categories.
Capital Project Expenditure under budget
As of 31 May, Council has expended $28.67M on its capital works program, with a further $6.63M in committed costs for works currently in progress.
Council has spent $20.67M on the delivery of infrastructure projects, with the focus of the 2025-2026 capital works program moving away from the restoration of flood damaged roads under the Queensland Government’s Reconstruction of Essential Public Assets (REPA) program and moving towards the renewal of existing assets.
GrainCorp Forest Hill Silo Art Project
Work on the viewing precinct for the future murals in the GrainCorp Forest Hill Silo Art Project in Railway Street, Forest Hill is now underway!
These works will deliver everything from a silo viewing area to visitor carpark, including long vehicle parking, coach set down, footpaths, landscaping, a seating area, shaded facilities, and asphalt pavement works on Railway Street.
Traffic management will be in place as required throughout the duration of the works.

Council is currently seeking applications for the positions of:
- Manager Infrastructure Operations (Full Time, Contract). This advertisement will close on Monday 29 June 2026 at 5pm.
- Senior Planner (Full Time, Permanent). This advertisement will close on Monday 6 July 2026 at 5pm.

Through Council’s Major Community Grants program, a share of almost $35,000 is on its way to support various local community groups across our region.
This round’s successful recipients are:
