Unlock your creativity with watercolour and quilting workshops!
Creativity takes centre stage this July, with the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery hosting two hands-on workshops.
The Art of Line and Wash Watercolour Workshop is set for Saturday 11 July, where Sharon Ross will present a beginner-friendly watercolour workshop.
Council’s Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor Julie Reck said this workshop was a wonderful introduction to the world of watercolour painting.
“Line and wash is a beautiful technique where you start with pen or ink drawing, then layer watercolour washes over the top.
“Best of all, perfection is not the goal – it’s all about embracing a loose, expressive style.
“By the end of the workshop, you’ll create your own finished artwork using line and wash techniques.
“This is a lovely opportunity to nurture your creativity, develop new skills, and perhaps discover a relaxing new hobby,” Cr Reck said.
All materials supplied. Tea and coffee available.

“Both men and women are invited to come along to give something new a try, connect and share a few laughs, and leave feeling accomplished!” she said.
Participants are required to bring their own serviced sewing machine.
