Stormwater Upgrade and Disruptions
Notification of Construction Works – Stormwater Upgrade and Disruptions
Council has engaged contractors Bellwether to undertake works to improve the stormwater system in Hill Street, Whittle Street, Lakeview Drive and Lake Apex Drive, Gatton in the near future.
The project will increase the capacity of the stormwater network in this section of Gatton which will allow stormwater to clear the area more quickly, reducing overflow impacts on properties.
Works are expected to occur from mid/end-June to late August 2021.
This project will cause some disruption to roads, footpaths, sewerage and town water services during the works period. For example, at times you may not be able to park near or drive to/from your driveway during work hours, and your town water supply may be unavailable during the day.
Council and the contractor will work with you to minimise the impacts of any disruption as much as possible while still delivering high-quality and cost-effective outcomes for the project.
To help us manage the impacts to you, we ask that you advise us as soon as possible of any special needs you have which may be impacted by this project including, but not limited to: disability or other accessibility concerns; high need for access to town water during business hours; scheduled trade services (eg, renovations) during the works period.
Please submit your information on special needs via email to email@example.com or by post to PO Box 82, Gatton Qld 4343 with the subject Stormwater Project and include your property address, your name and contact information, and details of your concerns and needs by 18 June 2021.
