Notification of Construction Works – Robinson Road, Laidley

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that the construction works on Robinson Road, Laidley, between Goodwin Street and Thomas Street, are programmed to start on 11 June 2019, weather permitting.

The works will involve pavement reconstruction and bitumen sealing the section of Robinson Road.

Works will generally be carried out Tuesday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm. Access to some resident driveways will be impacted during the works and Council workers will discuss this with residents that are impacted.

Detours, construction signage and traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Please adhere to roadwork signage, detours and any instructions issued by Council staff or traffic controllers.

​Notification Of  Works - Footpath Construction - Allan Street, Gatton

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that work on Allan Street, Gatton, are programmed to start on 23 May 2019, weather permitting.

The project involves the construction of new footpath and pram ramps along the eastern side of Allan Street, Gatton between Old College Road and Princess Street.

Work will generally be performed between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and may include some work on Saturdays.

Construction signage and barricades will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Please adhere to roadwork signage and any instructions issued by Council employees, contractor's staff or traffic controllers.

Notification Of Construction Works - Gatton Cemetery

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that construction works to expand the Gatton Cemetery located on Dennis Minson Drive, Gatton are programmed to start in May 2019, weather permitting.

The project includes earthworks to level existing vacant ground and the construction of access tracks and carparks for future cemetery activities. Works will generally be carried out Tuesday to Friday 7.00am to 4.30pm.

These works are essential to meet the future needs of the community.

The project will require the removal of some trees, which will be managed with the least possible impact to the environment, and under the guidance of an independent wildlife spotter. Sediment control will be in place to prevent impacts to Lake Freeman or Lake Apex.

Notification of Construction Works – Gehrke Hill Road, Summerholm


Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that the construction works on Gehrke Hill Road, Summerholm, between Summerholm Road and Jackson Road, are programmed to start by 16 April 2019, weather permitting.

The works include tree clearing, road widening and bitumen sealing.

Works will generally be carried out Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 4.00pm. Access to some resident driveways will be impacted during the works and Council workers will discuss this with residents that are impacted.

Detours, construction signage and traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Please adhere to roadwork signage, detours and any instructions issued by Council employees or traffic controllers.

Remediation Works – Mahon Bridge, Carpendale


Council would like to advise that the temporary load limit of 23 tonne that was recently applied to Mahon Bridge on Capendale Road whilst remediation work was undertaken has now been lifted to 42.5 tonne gross load. To facilitate the lifting of the load limit Council has also permanently changed the traffic flow across the bridge to one lane.

Construction Works - Stevens Road, Murphys Creek


Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that the construction works on the unsealed section of Stevens Road, Murphy Creek, are programmed to start by the second week of April 2019, weather permitting.

The works include tree clearing, road widening and seal for approximately 400m of the unsealed road from the current sealed section. Gravel resheeting is programmed for the balance of road at the same time.

Works will generally be carried out Tuesday to Friday 7am to 4.00pm. Access to some resident driveways will be impacted during the works and Council workers will discuss this with residents that are impacted.

Edward Street, Laidley

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that construction works on Edward Street, Laidley, between Robinson Road and Goodwin Street, are programmed to start on Monday 18 February 2019, weather permitting.

The works include additional road widening and parking for the Laidley State High School. Works will generally be carried out Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.30pm. Access to some resident driveways will be impacted during the works and Council workers will discuss this with residents that are impacted.

Detours, construction signage and traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Please adhere to roadwork signage, detours and any instructions issued by Council employees or traffic controllers.
