Notification Of Construction Works - Gatton Cemetery

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that construction works to expand the Gatton Cemetery located on Dennis Minson Drive, Gatton are programmed to start in May 2019, weather permitting.

The project includes earthworks to level existing vacant ground and the construction of access tracks and carparks for future cemetery activities. Works will generally be carried out Tuesday to Friday 7.00am to 4.30pm.

These works are essential to meet the future needs of the community.

The project will require the removal of some trees, which will be managed with the least possible impact to the environment, and under the guidance of an independent wildlife spotter. Sediment control will be in place to prevent impacts to Lake Freeman or Lake Apex.

Roads

Notification of Construction Works – Gehrke Hill Road, Summerholm


Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that the construction works on Gehrke Hill Road, Summerholm, between Summerholm Road and Jackson Road, are programmed to start by 16 April 2019, weather permitting.

The works include tree clearing, road widening and bitumen sealing.

Works will generally be carried out Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 4.00pm. Access to some resident driveways will be impacted during the works and Council workers will discuss this with residents that are impacted.

Detours, construction signage and traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Please adhere to roadwork signage, detours and any instructions issued by Council employees or traffic controllers.

Remediation Works – Mahon Bridge, Carpendale


Council would like to advise that the temporary load limit of 23 tonne that was recently applied to Mahon Bridge on Capendale Road whilst remediation work was undertaken has now been lifted to 42.5 tonne gross load. To facilitate the lifting of the load limit Council has also permanently changed the traffic flow across the bridge to one lane.

Construction Works - Stevens Road, Murphys Creek


Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that the construction works on the unsealed section of Stevens Road, Murphy Creek, are programmed to start by the second week of April 2019, weather permitting.

The works include tree clearing, road widening and seal for approximately 400m of the unsealed road from the current sealed section. Gravel resheeting is programmed for the balance of road at the same time.

Works will generally be carried out Tuesday to Friday 7am to 4.00pm. Access to some resident driveways will be impacted during the works and Council workers will discuss this with residents that are impacted.

Remediation Works - Mahon Bridge, Carpendale

Council would like to advise that a temporary load limit reduction on Mahon Bridge, Carpendale Road, is required while Contractors undertake repair works.

This work is expected to take one month in duration, weather permitting.

The bridge will be reduced to a 23 tonne load limit to allow these repair works to be undertaken. It is anticipated the load limit on the bridge will return to 35 tonne once the works are completed.

Edward Street, Laidley

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that construction works on Edward Street, Laidley, between Robinson Road and Goodwin Street, are programmed to start on Monday 18 February 2019, weather permitting.

The works include additional road widening and parking for the Laidley State High School. Works will generally be carried out Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.30pm. Access to some resident driveways will be impacted during the works and Council workers will discuss this with residents that are impacted.

​Old College Road, Gatton

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that reconstruction works on Old College Road, between Feldhahn Street and Strong Street, are programmed to start on Tuesday 15 January 2019, weather permitting.

This section of Old College Road will be closed to general traffic from 22 January 2019 to 22 February 2019, between 7.00am to 4.00pm Tuesday to Friday. Local access for residents will be provided.

Princess Street, Gatton

This section of Princess Street will be closed to general traffic from 22 January 2019 to 22 February 2019, between 7.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday. Local access for residents will be provided.

Detours, construction signage and traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Please adhere to roadwork signage, detours and any instructions issued by Council employees or traffic controllers.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that roadworks on Jordan Street, Gatton, between Princess Street and Byrne Street, are programmed to start early November, weather permitting.

The project involves pavement reconstruction, kerb replacement, drainage installation works,​ and asphalt overlay.

Work will generally be performed between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday.

The work may create a small amount of dust. The dust will be managed by council plant however we respectfully ask that you take necessary precautions to mitigate potential impact on your property by closing windows and doors.

Detours, construction signage and traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. Please adhere to roadwork signage, detours and any instructions issued by Council employees or traffic controllers.

Old College Road, Gatton

Lockyer Valley Regional Council would like to advise that road works on Old College Road, Gatton, between Hickey Street and Buaraba Street, are programmed to start in mid-June 2018, weather permitting.

The project involves pavement reconstruction, kerb replacement, in-situ lime stabilisation, asphalt overlay, and linemarking.

Work will generally be performed between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm, Tuesday to Friday.

The stabilization works is expected to create a small amount of dust. The dust will be managed by council plant however, we respectfully ask that you take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact on your property by closing windows and doors.

Detours, construction signage and traffic controllers will be present to ensure the safety of workers and the public. During this period, safety for residents is of the utmost importance to Council. Please adhere to roadwork signage, detours and any instructions issued by Council employees.
