Notice is hereby given the undermentioned stock have been impounded from Gittins Road Withcott on Friday 13 December 2019,
- 1 x stallion, chestnut coloured with white stripe and 3 x white socks, nil brand or microchip
- 1 x mare, chestnut coloured with white blaze and 3 x white coronets, pony type, nil brand or microchip
Fees and charges for these animal been accrued in accordance with Council’s Local Laws.
The stock if not claimed by 4pm Thursday 9 January 2020, they will be disposed of by Council in accordance with Lockyer Valley Regional Council Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011
by Public Auction held at the Lockyer Valley Regional Council Pound Facility located at 27 Treatment Plant Road Gatton on Friday 10 January 2020 at 11am.
Persons intending to bid at the Auction are required to register as such no later than 10.45am Friday 10 January 2020 on-site.

Selective Inspection Program
Council will be carrying out an approved selective inspection program in accordance with Section 113 of the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008.
The purpose of the program is to ensure owners of dogs currently kept at properties within the Lockyer Valley Regional Council areas and identified within Council’s records as being outstanding registered dogs are confirmed and actions taken in accordance with the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008 and Council’s Resolution on this matter.
The confirmation of keeping of a dog whose registration was not renewed for the 2018 – 2019 year at any property will result in the following actions by Council:
1. the owners of such dogs will be issued a Notice requiring the registration of each dog within three business days of the date inspection; and
2. should that Notice not be complied with, an Infringement Notice ($261) will be issued to the owner for each dog identified as not having its registration renewed.
The confirmation of a person keeping any other dog over the age of three months and not registered in accordance with the Act, will be issued a Notice requiring the registration of each dog:
(a) where the dog has been kept within the region for more than 14 days the Notice is to be issued requiring registration within three business days of the date of the inspection;
(b) where the dog has not been kept within the region for more than 14 days the Notice is to be issued requiring registration within 14 days of the date of the inspection;
(c) should that Notice not be complied with, the owners will be issued an Infringement Notice ($252) for each dog identified as not having its registration paid.
The program will commence on 15 October 2018 and completed by 3 May 2019, conducted between 8am and 5pm on business days only.
Council representatives will be clearly identified by way of Lockyer Valley Regional Council Identification Documentation.
A copy of the resolution is available for inspection and may be obtained from Council at no cost.
Council encourages all dog owners within the Lockyer Valley Regional Council to ensure that all dogs kept on their properties are registered and microchipped at all times in accordance with the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008.
