The Queensland and Australian Governments provide assistance and support to businesses. ​

A range of resources for business have been developed by both the Au​stralian and Queensland Governments. ​

The Queensland Government has a dedicated COVID-19 website​ where you can access the current roadmap for easing restrictions and COVID Safe Checklist information.

The Queensland Small Business Skills Hub is a library of free online video training for small business.  The courses are tailored to small business, and provided by GO1 in partnership with the Queensland Government.  Available to small businesses with less than 20 staff and a registered ABN. ​​

Work Safe Queensland have developed dedicated resources to help you meet your workplace risk management obligations

The Queensland Government has created fact sheets and resources for industry and businesses including translated options.

The Australian Government has fact sheets and resources for the general public and business including posters, videos and FAQs.

Safe Work Australia has dedicated COVID-19 information to assist in keeping workers safe and limiting the spread through workplaces. This includes a business resource kit, workplace checklist, what to do if a worker has COVID-19 and staying informed about COVID-19.

Information from FairWork ​about workplace entitlements and​ obligations including stand downs, flexible work arrangements, and pay and leave entitlements.

The Rural Financial Counselling Service Southern Queensland (RFCSSQ) provides free, confidential, impartial, mobile financial counselling for small, medium and primary production businesses in financial hardship. Access the RFCSSQ March 2020 Rural Finances newsletter here​

TAFE Queensland​ are providing short-term, fee-free courses for eligible Queenslanders. Access online skill sets and micro-credentials in food service, community care, health support, customer engagement, digital literacy and cyber security.​

Financial Support

Small business COVID-19 Adaption Grant – support of up to $10,000 for small businesses subject to closure or highly impacted by the coronavirus shutdown restrictions to adapt and sustain operations, and build resilience.

Visit the Australian Taxation Office Website for information on tax support and the economic stimulus packages from the Federal Government. This includes JobKeeper and JobSeeker payments as well as cash flow support  to assist distressed businesses and measures to retain employees, apprentices and trainees.

Electricity relief – The Australian Government is providing a $100 Million Power Bill Relief package for small and medium business enterprises, with a $500 rebate off energy bills.
