Drought Communities Program Extension Funding provides eligible drought affected Council areas access to funding, up to $1 million, to boost employment and procurement in the local community.
As part of the program, the Riparian Rangers project contracts landholders adjacent to creek reserves to engage themselves, their staff or suitably qualified contractors to undertake riparian weed control. Council provides training, workshops and support to eligible participants in the program.
More information about the program and eligibility criteria can be found here.
