Australia Day Awards

2023 Lockyer Valley Australia Day Awards
Australia Day is a time for all Australians to reflect, respect and celebrate.
Join us on Thursday, 26 January, as we celebrate what’s great about Australia and that we all have a contribution to make to the Story of Australia.
Our event allows our community to come together to celebrate members of our community that have gone above and beyond to help improve the lives of others, and contribute to a diverse, friendly, and strong community with our Australia Day Community Awards. We also welcome new citizens to the region at the Citizenship Ceremony.
We are very excited to announce that our 2023 Australia Day Ambassador is Professor Peter Timms, who is saving our iconic koalas from extinction. He will join Mayor Tanya Milligan for an inspiring Q&A session and will be available to talk to attendees after the formalities.
This is a free, family-friendly event with Australiana entertainment, activities, and food to follow formal proceedings.
