• Nominations must include details of the nominee’s achievements and how they meet the category criteria. Please list specific details and examples.

• Nominees must be an Australian Citizen
• Nominees must be a resident of the Lockyer Valley region for 12 months prior to Australia Day, 26 January 2023
• Nominees can self-nominate
• An individual or group can be nominated for more than one award category

The award recipients will be determined by the Australia Day Awards Selection Committee (‘the Committee’) comprising:

• Mayor (Chairperson)
• Deputy Mayor
• Community Portfolio Councillor
• Community Activation Officer or Delegate
• Laidley Community Centre Manager or Delegate
• Lockyer Community Centre Manager or Delegate

If the Committee deems there to be a more appropriate category than that proposed in a nomination, the Committee may consider the nomination under the more appropriate category.

The Committee’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into about their decision.
