Unpack life’s great surprises at Lockyer Valley Art Gallery

The Lockyer Valley Art Gallery is hosting its latest exhibition – one that is centred on life’s great surprises.

Titled Life Surprises by Escarpment Artists, the exhibition looks to unpack the unpredictability of life and how it can impact plans, dreams, goals and life trajectory.

Lockyer Valley Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor Julie Reck said the exhibition, to run from 9 May, provides an interpretation of the ups and downs of life.

“Time and time again, our Gallery looks to showcase so many diverse and interesting art exhibitions under the one roof – it’s one of the things we love about it.

“I certainly think this topic is something a lot of people can relate to – the ability to surrender control and simply go on the journey life takes you can be confronting, but there is a great peace to be found when you do so.

“I invite all residents to come along and see what these talented artists have curated on this interesting topic,” Cr Reck said.

Life Surprises is open now until 22 June 2025. You can visit this free exhibition seven days a week at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery, located within the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre.
