If you answered yes, did you know there is a Nespresso Pod collection point at the Lockyer Valley Libraries?

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Environment Portfolio Councillor, Cheryl Steinhardt said residents can simply drop in with their used individual pods, Nespresso recycling bags, or Australia Post recycling satchels and Library officers will send them back to Nespresso to be recycled.

“Both our Gatton and Laidley Libraries are participating in Nespresso's Bulk Recycling Program, with Nespresso coffee pod recycling points located at both libraries.

“The aluminium from coffee capsules can be recycled and transformed into new products - such as new capsules, vegetable peelers, ladders, bicycles and so much more.

“This is a great way to foster a sustainable environment and instil the important message of recycling.

“Simply drop in your used individual pods, Nespresso recycling bags, or Australia Post recycling satchels and we'll send them back to Nespresso to be recycled for you.

“We all love our coffee, so let your fellow Nespresso lovers know about this great initiative and together, we can all do our bit to reduce waste going to landfill,” Cr Steinhardt said.

Nespresso capsules are made from aluminium, which is infinitely recyclable. If you use an alternate pod, please contact your capsule manufacturer for recycling options.
