It’s Parade time, Baby!

The 2025 Laidley Spring Festival Grand Street Parade will bring all things retro!

Applications are now open and this year’s groovy theme, Retro Revival, will roll back the years to a time of peace and love.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Events Portfolio Councillor Julie Reck said this year’s theme was a call out to all disco divas, vintage visionaries, and boogie-loving legends.

“If you’re looking for an opportunity to be a part of the Lockyer Valley’s biggest event, this is it!

“Get your thinking caps on now and start preparing for this amazing Parade and celebrate one of the highlights of the Laidley Spring Festival.

“We would love to see as many people as possible get involved, so get together with your work mates, sporting teams, local clubs or school groups and enter a float and light up Laidley with your boldest, brightest retro parade entries.

“Attracting thousands of visitors and locals, the Laidley Spring Festival Grand Parade is a highlight of the event and puts a spotlight on one of our most loved seasons.

“Every year, we watch Patrick Street come alive with vibrant, colourful floats, incredible costumes, and an amazing energy.

“Thousands of spectators witness community pride and creativity at its best, and this year promises a spectacular celebration,” Cr Reck said.

The Laidley Spring Festival will be held from Friday 12 – Sunday 14 September, with the Grand Parade on Saturday 13 September from 10am. The Parade will do one lap around the Laidley CBD to thousands of adoring spectators.
