Fees and Charges 2025-26
Council’s new Fees and Charges for 2025-26 will come into effect on 1 July, including changes to waste disposal fees.
To help cover processing costs, domestic green waste quantities greater than 240L (wheelie bin equivalent) will attract a charge, with a standard trailer or ute load costing $10 from 1 July.
Domestic green waste and general waste quantities up to 240L are still free to dispose of.

Digital and Social Media Marketing Made Easy Workshop
Council has engaged highly regarded presenters CPR Group to deliver a marketing and social media workshop for local community organisations.
This free hands-on workshop will cover the key topics of marketing fundamentals, volunteer recruitment, effective use of social media, and the development of actionable marketing strategies, giving local community organisations the know-how to increase their engagement.
WHEN: Thursday, 26 June 2025
TIME: 5.30pm arrival, for 6pm start
LOCATION: Laidley Sports Complex

Council Meeting
The next Ordinary Meeting of Lockyer Valley Regional Council will be held on Wednesday, 18 June 2025 at the Council Chambers commencing at 9am.
Dog registration renewals due
Council has recently issued dog registration renewal notices, with payment due by 30 June. Don’t be alarmed if you receive two notices. Due to an unfortunate BPay reference error, we had to issue a second notice.
If you haven’t paid and are intending on using BPay, please use the details on the second notice. If you have already paid using BPay details from the first notice, no further action is required – we will still be able to process your payment and link it to your dog. Other payment methods are not affected.
In Queensland, all dogs aged 12 weeks and above must be registered by law, with fines payable if you’re found in breach.
If you haven’t registered your dog before, please contact us on 1300 005 872 to get the process started.
