Landholders urged to register flood debris

Following the impact of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Council will offer free collection of any remaining bulk flood debris for rural landholders.

This is STRICTLY for FLOOD DAMAGED waste from the flood event, which began on 9 March 2025 and does not include repairs to any form of damage (including fences).

Registrations are available for a short time only. To register for this service, please complete the survey at https://forms.office.com/r/kU6L97VxFX.

If you have previously reached out to Council for this type of service, please fill out the form to ensure you are not missed.

Council will make every effort to provide this service to all eligible applicants, but may be constrained by weather, contractor availability and the tight timeframe associated with the available funding.

Assistance for these services is provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Special Council Meeting

Lockyer Valley Regional Council will hand down its 2025-26 Budget at a Special Meeting of Council on Tuesday 1 July, commencing at 9am in the Council Chambers, Gatton.

Members of the public are welcome to attend, noting seating is limited

Fees and Charges 2025-26

Council’s new Fees and Charges for 2025-26 will come into effect on 1 July, including changes to waste disposal fees.

General recycling and domestic green waste and general waste quantities up to 240L are still free to dispose of.

Digital and Social Media Marketing Made Easy Workshop

Council has engaged highly regarded presenters CPR Group to deliver a marketing and social media workshop for local community organisations.

This free hands-on workshop will cover the key topics of marketing fundamentals, volunteer recruitment, effective use of social media, and the development of actionable marketing strategies, giving local community organisations the know-how to increase their engagement.

WHEN: Thursday, 26 June 2025

TIME: 5.30pm arrival, for 6pm start

LOCATION: Laidley Sports Complex
