Upcoming roadworks

Works will soon begin to widen and reconstruct a section of Old Laidley Forest Hill Road.

The project is expected to begin shortly and take eight to 10 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Crews will work on one lane at a time, leaving one lane operating at all times under temporary traffic lights. Motorists can expect minor delays, and we thank residents in advance for their patience.

This $484,500 project is funded by the Australian Government's Black Spots Program

Special Council Meeting

Lockyer Valley Regional Council will hand down its 2025-26 Budget at a Special Meeting of Council on Tuesday 1 July, commencing at 9am in the Council Chambers, Gatton.

Members of the public are welcome to attend, noting seating is limited. Please arrive by 8.50am.

Landholders urged to register flood debris

Following the impact of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, Council will offer free collection of any remaining bulk flood debris for rural landholders.

This is STRICTLY for FLOOD DAMAGED waste from the flood event, which began on 9 March 2025 and does not include repairs to any form of damage (including fences).

Registrations are available for a short time only. To register for this service, please complete the survey at https://forms.office.com/r/kU6L97VxFX.

If you have previously reached out to Council for this type of service, please fill out the form to ensure you are not missed.

Council will make every effort to provide this service to all eligible applicants, but may be constrained by weather, contractor availability and the tight timeframe associated with the available funding.

Assistance for these services is provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Dog registrations due

Reminder – dog registration renewals are due on 30 June 2025. If you are yet to receive your renewal notice, please contact Council on 1300 005 872 to confirm your contact details.

All dogs aged 12 weeks and above must be registered by state government law, with fines payable if you are found in breach.
