Works on Laidley Memorial Park now complete
The Laidley Memorial Park is now set to manage the growing attendances at Anzac Day services after Council crews completed a range of works at the facility.
Crews facilitated the removal of two hedges, including garden edging and two seats to give the memorial site plenty of time to re-grass before the next commemorative services.
The works now allow the RSL to push the Master of Ceremonies area back, which will mean more room for increased seating and crowd numbers, as well as greater viewing capability at events.
The improvements will make a big difference for the community come Anzac Day next year and we look forward to welcoming more crowds at services as a result.
Tenthill Creek Road drainage works
Council is undertaking drainage upgrades along Tenthill Creek Road, Lower Tenthill between Ingoldsby Road and Dwyers Road.
Works will be conducted between 6am and 6pm from approximately Monday 28 July to Friday 12 September, weather permitting. Traffic management will be in place during this time and motorists can expect minor traffic delays.
Laidley Spring Festival fast approaching
The heart of Laidley will be bursting with colour, music and community pride this spring, as the much-loved Laidley Spring Festival returns from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September 2025.
With this year’s theme of ‘Retro Revival’, the streets will come alive with all the charm of yesteryear—think vintage flair, nostalgic tunes and a celebration of the people and places that make our region shine.
