Laidley Pool works
The Dal Ryan Memorial Pool in Laidley will open its doors a little later this year, as Council continues flood repair works on the facility.
The works are expected to begin in early October and take several weeks, weather permitting, after which the pool will then be refilled and recommissioned. It is hoped the pool will be open again in early- to mid-November.
Council has notified the pool operator and schools of the works and will continue to work with those impacted throughout the repair process.

We’re inviting all residents – including community groups, schools and families, to come and plant with us to celebrate World Lakes Day!
Come along on Wednesday, 27 August from 9am to 12pm at Lockyer Waters, assembling at the Lockyer Waters Community Centre - 36 Topaz Crescent..
All planting equipment will be provided but attendees are asked to wear a hat, closed-toe shoes, dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Free morning tea and refreshments will be provided.

Tenthill Creek Road drainage works
Council is undertaking drainage upgrades along Tenthill Creek Road, Lower Tenthill between Ingoldsby Road and Dwyers Road.
Works will be conducted between 6am and 6pm until Friday 12 September, weather permitting. Traffic management will be in place during this time and motorists can expect minor traffic delays.

RADF open for applications
Individuals or community groups interested in arts and culture in the Lockyer Valley are invited to make an application for funding under the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).
RADF is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Lockyer Valley Regional Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
Applications can be made at www.lockyervalley.qld.gov.au/RADF and must be submitted to Council by 10am, Monday 22 September 2025.
