Viewpoints now on at Lockyer Valley Art Gallery

The Lockyer Valley Art Gallery is proud to present their latest exhibition “Viewpoints” by High Schools in the Lockyer Valley.

The creative exhibition will put the spotlight on the talents from students at our region’s high schools.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor, Julie Reck said the exhibition has plated up a diverse collection of student work.

“It’s just fascinating to have a glimpse into the minds of our teenagers, and I really do think everyone who comes along with think so too.

“There’s everything from photography to sculpture, digital art and paintings.

“This year, 144 students were selected from four schools to participate in this exhibition.

“It’s so important they’re given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe space.

“Their work is exciting – this really is our next generation of artists!

“Each year, we create a safe space for our young creatives to share their stories and it is an honour to do so,” Cr Reck said.

Viewpoints by High Schools of the Lockyer Valley is on at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery until 12 October with free entry.
