Council hands over items to Share the Dignity Drive

Lockyer Valley Regional Council has proudly handed over a collection of donated hygiene products to this year’s Share the Dignity Drive.

The Drive is all about supporting the charity’s mission to ensure all women and girls have access to basic hygiene necessities.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said the items were provided to the local Salvation Army.

“Our staff, Councillors and members of the community once again came on board to donate items throughout September as part of our 2025 Share the Dignity Drive.

“The items will be made into care packages and given to local women experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence or doing it tough

“Items included everything from sanitary items and deodorants, to toothbrushes, toothpaste and soaps.

“Supporting this initiative helps to make sure people who find themselves in unfortunate situations are still treated with the respect and compassion they so rightfully deserve.

“This ongoing partnership also reflects our commitment as an organisation to working with our community groups.

“We’re always honoured to be a part of this meaningful cause and sincerely thank everyone who donated,” Mayor Milligan said.
