Road rehabilitation program underway

Rehabilitation works are now underway on Grantham Scrub Road, Veradilla.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council crews commenced the four-week program last week, Council’s Infrastructure Portfolio Councillor, Michael Hagan said.

“This project is focused on improving the traffic safety and reliability of our services.

“The scope of works will include shoulder and pavement rehabilitation, with seal widening on both sides that will also include line-marking, new signage, and drainage works.

“These much-needed enhancements will improve safety, functionality, and longevity of this important section of road corridor.

“Works will be conducted between: 6am and 6pm for an approximate four-week program, weather permitting.

“Ensuring our roads remain both reliable and safe for our residents is one of our highest priorities and these works will significantly increase the overall driving conditions and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance over the coming years,” Cr Hagan said.

Works will be under traffic management, with delays no longer than five minutes expected.

To minimise disruption, motorists are urged to follow signage when travelling through the work zone.
