Meaningful works on show at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery

2026 is kicking off with a meaningful new exhibition at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery.

Titled “Oh MG” this exhibition will shine a light on the rare disease Myasthenia Gravis, which the artist was diagnosed with in 2021.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor, Julie Reck said the exhibition was a celebration of community and the power of art as advocacy.

“Chloe’s work is not only incredibly personal, but also deeply human.

“Throughout her exhibition, Chloe uses her art to encourage conversations around themes of health, resilience, identity, and connection.

“It really goes to show how powerful personal stories are the connection we can all feel by sharing lived experiences.

“It is an honour to host this exhibition,” Cr Reck said.

Visitors will see a vibrant and beautiful wall drape made up of more than 2600 crocheted snowflakes from donations across Australia, a collection of snowflake sculptures created from up-cycled medication bottles collected from MG sufferers nationwide and a series of vibrant abstract portraits telling the stories of those with MG.
