Register now for Welcome Baby Celebration

Families are at the heart of our community and Lockyer Valley Regional Council is once again inviting those who recently welcomed a new addition to participate in one of the most special events on the region’s calendar.

The 2026 Welcome Baby Celebration is a chance to come together to connect and warmly welcome our youngest community members.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said Council was putting the call out for all new mums and dads to register their new additions for the upcoming Celebration.

“On a personal note, I welcomed two grandsons and a niece in 2025, and I really am reminded how beautiful, while also challenging the early stages of parenthood are.

“These are the families and children who will shape our future.

“This is so much more than a celebration - it’s a great chance for parents to meet others and build connections.

“Every baby represents so much – hope, opportunity and welcoming our youngest residents is a beautiful way to celebrate this,” Mayor Milligan said.

Each family receives a certificate from the Mayor, and a First 5 Forever library pack. The celebration will conclude with morning tea.

This celebration is open to families who are residents of the Lockyer Valley or who connect with Lockyer Valley Libraries.
