Council funding available for sporting, academic or cultural pursuits
Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Ambassador Support Program continues to go from strength to strength, with an impressive 35 talented recipients sharing in almost $7000 in funding this financial year alone.
Council’s Sport and Recreation Portfolio Councillor Anthony Wilson said applications were open year-round, with one-off financial contributions available per financial year
“This funding is a great way for Council to support our region’s highest achievers to have even more success.
“It’s a way of supporting those talented stars who excel in sporting, academic and cultural fields and who have been selected to compete at state, national or international levels.
“This funding allows successful applicants to partially offset the cost of representing their club, organisation or school.
“This great initiative is open year-round and we’re encouraging anyone eligible to get their applications in now,” Cr Wilson said.
