Gravel resheeting works earmarked to commence
Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Infrastructure Operations team will soon commence gravel resheeting works across the region.
Council’s Infrastructure Portfolio Councillor Michael Hagan said the works would see about 13 kilometres worth of roads resurfaced.
“This work is a continuation of gravel resheeting works already completed earlier this year on a number of other gravel roads.
“Works involve placing and compacting approximately 10,000 tonnes of new gravel, reshaping and grading the road surface.
“Gravel resheeting is important to maintain the correct road formation and shape and works to improve the overall longevity and safety of our unsealed road network.
“Importantly, it slows the onset of corrugations and pot holing, reduces dust levels and improves traction for traffic in the winter months.
“Once complete, this series of road resheeting projects will result in overall improved gravel road surfaces for the region, and a safer, smoother journey for motorists.
“A higher standard of roads means a better outcome for road users,” Cr Hagan said.

- Crans Road, Flagstone Creek
- Dodt Road, Gatton
- Hausers Road, Gatton
- Steinhardts Road, Gatton
- Jew Road, Glenore Grove
- Roses Road, Veradilla
- Turner Road, Upper Flagstone
- Morgans Road, Grantham
- Risson Road, Grantham
- Frome Street East, Laidley
- Grey Street, Laidley
- Lowe Street, Laidley
- Christensen Road, Laidley Heights
- Lester Lane West, Laidley South
- O'Dwyer Road, Laidley South
- Cross Road, Lower Tenthill
- Friell Road, Lower Tenthill
- Cattos Road (north), Helidon
- Kellys Road, Helidon Spa
Weather permitting, works are expected to be complete by June 2026.
