Lockyer Valley Libraries welcomes back author Stella Quinn
Author Stella Quinn was warmly welcomed back to Lockyer Valley Libraries last night – her second visit in as many years.
Stella was on hand to discuss her new title, Rain on a Hot Tin Roof, a funny and heartwarming new romance about one derelict farm, two broken hearts and a town that can’t help meddling.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor Julie Reck said it was great to see so many people take the opportunity to turn a page with the renowned author.
“Stella is certainly becoming a regular at our Libraries and it’s always our pleasure to host an author of this calibre.
“You could tell how much the audience enjoyed meeting Stella and discussing the stories, people and places that inspire her writing.
“Stella is at ease talking to her readers and it was great to have her share some behind-the-scenes insights into how the characters and stories come together.
“We’re always looking to host such talented authors and create spaces where readers can connect, be inspired and celebrate the joy of reading.
“This is another great way for the community to enjoy the library as a social space, come along with your friends or your book club and get to know other fellow book lovers
“It was also clear how much our audience enjoyed the evening author talk and rest assured, we will keep this in mind as we continue planning our events for the second half of the year,” Cr Reck said.
