Calling all community groups and sporting clubs!
Lockyer Valley Regional Council remains committed to engaging directly with local community organisations and sporting clubs across the region – and that is why Council wants your correct contact details on file!
Council’s Sport and Recreation Portfolio Councillor, Anthony Wilson said Council was putting a call out to anyone who is part of a community group or sporting club—big or small, incorporated or auspiced to get in touch.
“Our community organisations and sporting clubs play a vital role in promoting social connection, health and wellbeing across our communities, and that is why staying connected with them is so important.
“If your contact details have changed, you’re a new group or club, or you’re not sure if Council has your details, please reach out to our Engagement Team so we can ensure the lines of communication remain open at all times,” Cr Wilson said.
By updating your details with our Engagement Team, you’ll:
- Be subscribed to our Community Connect capacity‑building newsletter (or On the Ball for sporting clubs)
- Be the first to hear about free capacity‑building opportunities (like grant‑writing workshops)
- Receive early notification when community grant rounds open
“We want to support the growth and sustainability of these groups to the best of our ability to ensure a vibrant and inclusive community.
“It really is an easy way to stay informed and supported, regardless of what stage your group is at, and please share this with other community groups in your network,” Cr Wilson said.
Get in touch with the Engagement Team to check or update your group’s contact details by emailing engagement@lvrc.qld.gov.au or phoning 1300 005 872.
