Council to host Grant Writing and Resilience Planning Workshop
If you’re a local not-for-profit community or sporting group who would welcome extra cash to fund projects, activities or upgrades, then Council’s Grant Writing and Resilience Planning Workshop is for you.
Hosted by Lockyer Valley Regional Council, the workshop will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday 10 June at the Gatton Shire Hall.
Council’s Mayor, Tanya Milligan said for many, knowing where to start can be the hardest part.
“This workshop will take a deep dive into grant writing, more specifically developing strong grant applications so clubs and community groups feel confident applying for eligible funding following severe weather or disaster events.
“Come along and learn how to write strong, successful grant applications following disaster events, develop long-term resilience strategies for your organisation and strengthen your group’s future and sustainability.
“We really want to equip our not-for-profit community or sporting groups with tools to enable their success, because we all know how important it is to be prepared for severe weather and disaster events.
“These groups are at the heart of our community, so building their confidence and capability is so important.
“Local sporting clubs and community groups play a vital role in keeping our region connected and resilient, and this workshop is perfect to help them thrive and grow.
“Registrations are open until Friday 5 June, so secure your place now,” Mayor Milligan said.
