Creative workshops among latest projects to be awarded RADF grants
Four creative projects will share in more than $13,700 from Council’s Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), providing Lockyer Valley locals with access to more arts and cultural experiences.
The fund, provided by the Queensland Government and Lockyer Valley Regional Council, supports the development of arts and cultural practices including visual arts, craft and design, multimedia, film, theatre, music, dance, literature and writing.
Council’s Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor, Julie Reck said this round of RADF would fund a variety of projects, ranging from an Aboriginal metal art project to creative writing and music workshops.
“Round 3 of our 2025-26 RADF program received some great, creative briefs, and even better, is supporting three first-time applicants.
“I am always impressed with just how forward-thinking our applications are, and this round is a great example of that.
“There really is no limit when it comes to what can be achieved in the Lockyer Valley.
“This round, Council has provided more than $13,700 to four recipients who can now launch their works, and $53,000 in total this financial year!
"RADF really does go such a long way towards helping our flourishing arts sector reach their full potential and provides our residents with access to more arts and cultural experiences,” Cr Reck said.
