Help refresh Council’s Community Plan
Lockyer Valley Regional Council is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a Community Representative Group (CRG) to support the refresh of the Lockyer – Our Valley, Our Vision Community Plan.
Council’s Mayor Tanya Milligan said the CRG would play an important role in shaping the vision of the Community Plan.
“The Lockyer – Our Valley, Our Vision Community Plan is the region’s long-term, community-owned strategic document.
“It highlights the desired future of the Lockyer Valley, reflects community values, priorities and aspirations and provides the strategic foundation for Council’s Corporate Plan and decision-making.
“Council is encouraging applications from people who live in and have a strong connection to the region, are interested in the long-term future of the community (10-20 years), are willing to consider a range of perspectives and can participate constructively in facilitated discussions.
“The group’s role is to represent the views and values of the broader community and help ensure the final Community Plan is meaningful and accurate.
“The CRG will meet six times over a 12-week period between September and November 2026, for around two hours per session. Members will also be expected to review material between meetings.
“Members will participate as individuals representing the broader community, not as representatives of organisations, interest groups, single issues or campaigns.
“This is a unique opportunity for community members to help shape the long-term future of the Lockyer Valley by contributing to the refresh of the region’s key community vision document and ensuring it reflects the aspirations of residents across the Valley,” Mayor Milligan said.
Council will select up to 20 members to achieve a balanced mix of demographics, locations and perspectives across the region.
EOIs will open on 23 July and close at 11.59pm Monday, 10 August 2026.
