Showcase your talent at local Art Gallery

Lockyer Valley Regional Council is putting a call out to artists, creatives and community groups to express their interest in exhibiting at the Lockyer Valley Art Gallery in 2027.

Council’s Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor Julie Reck said applications were welcomed from the region's arts and cultural sector.

“Let’s celebrate the important role our Gallery plays in fostering local creativity in our communities.

“Our Gallery is a wonderful platform for artists to showcase their work, and we’re encouraging all artists – be it emerging and established artists, to consider exhibiting and sharing their stories, ideas and talents with a wider audience.

“The Gallery plays host to such a diverse range of exhibitions throughout the year, and Council is always excited to welcome new exhibitors and fresh creative perspectives.

“Council is seeking expressions of interest from individuals and groups working across a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, mixed media and digital art.

“Successful applicants will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in the professional Gallery setting and engage with the local community through the exhibition program,” Cr Reck said.

Exhibitions will be selected based on the following criteria:

• Artistic and creative excellence and integrity
• Cultural significance or relevance
• Audience development
• Spatial capacity
• Other considerations
