Blooming brilliant – Laidley Spring Festival to return
The 2026 Laidley Spring Festival will offer a jam-packed program of events the whole family will love.
This year’s event will be held on 11-12 September in Laidley and Bee Happy Day on 13 September in Forest Hill, with the Street Parade taking place on Saturday 12 September.
Kicking off festivities on Friday 11 September will be the Twilight Feast & Fest. Set to take over the Laidley Recreational Reserve from 5pm – 9pm, the event will feature the Rheanna Leschke Band, Maddi and the Dreamers, the ANTHEMS! Live Band plus roving entertainment, food and treasure stalls.
Throughout Friday, the famed Spring Gardening Fair shines, along with a fascinating Lapidary & Gem Display where nature’s treasures take centre stage.
The Under 5’s Day, hosted by the Laidley Community Centre, will take place from 9am – 12pm. This much-loved event is dedicated to children aged five and under, creating a welcoming space filled with hands-on activities, interactive play and engaging entertainment designed especially for young imaginations.
The Spring Orchid Show is on from 8am – 3pm at Laidley Sports Complex, Anzac Park. Step into a world of floral wonder, this is a true highlight of the festival program for green thumbs, garden lovers and anyone who simply adores exquisite orchid blooms.
The Quilt and Craft Show will take place from 9am - 3pm at the Laidley Uniting Church. Celebrate lost crafts at this much-loved experience that showcases all things handmade, heartfelt, and beautifully crafted - quilts, crochet creations, and textile art, plus handmade jewellery, woodwork, cardmaking, lacework, floral arrangements, dolls, children’s wear, and of course, the sweet scent of homemade cakes, lollies and biscuits.
Also on offer will be the Spring Art Exhibition and events at Das Neumann Haus, where you can taste their heritage offerings of apple strudel and German sausages, along with an always-popular Devonshire tea.
Saturday 12 September will see the Laidley Recreational Reserve come alive from 8am to 3pm including:
- 11am-11.20am – Bluey and Bingo live on stage!
- 11.30am-12.30pm – The Wet Whistles
- 12.40pm-1.40pm – Kaitlyn Thomas
- 1.45pm-3.00pm – Chloe Marks and The Mayhem.
The Spring Show ‘n’ Shine will be on at Ferrari Park, Laidley from 9am to 1pm. From beautifully restored classics and vintage treasures to tough muscle cars, custom builds, hot rods and gleaming motorcycles, this year's Show 'n' Shine will deliver plenty of horsepower and nostalgia. Whether you're a diehard motoring enthusiast or simply appreciate a beautifully crafted machine, you'll find plenty to admire as some of South East Queensland's finest vehicles roll into town.
Other activities on offer will include the Spring Orchid Show, Quilt and Craft Show, Spring Art Exhibition and Das Neumann Haus activities.
The Producer’s Patch takes place from 11am to 1.30pm. Settle in with a bean bag, roll out a picnic rug or grab a shady seat and enjoy live cooking demonstrations celebrating the very best local ingredients. Guest chef, Tony Tierney, will transform Valley produce into drool-worthy dishes, sharing stories, tips and plenty of laughs throughout the presentations.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Events Portfolio Councillor Julie Reck encouraged people to make the most of the event.
