Funding Opportunity for Lockyer Valley Arts Community

Artists across the Lockyer Valley are invited to apply for RADF funding to help transform their innovative ideas into reality.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council has officially opened the doors to Round 1 of its 2026-27 Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) and is calling for applications.

Council’s Libraries and Galleries Portfolio Councillor, Julie Reck said if you have a creative idea, consider applying for a RADF grant to support you in your artistic journey.

“Our Council is committed to its support of the region’s local talent, and this is why we’re proud to be bringing a new round of RADF grants to local artists.

“The RADF program plays an important role in providing financial support for projects that celebrate and strengthen the Lockyer Valley’s unique arts, culture, and heritage.

“Our Council is proud to offer this funding program as a way of growing and showcasing local talent.

“Whether you’re an emerging artist, an established group or a local organisation looking to collaborate on a creative project - RADF offers real opportunities to showcase arts and culture and involve the community.

“We’ve previously provided grants to initiatives including music, dance performances, art workshops, professional development activities, film and digital storytelling, art activities for children and festivals and events.

“These grants don’t just fund projects – they help sustain the artists and groups behind them.

“Grants are available for eligible arts, culture and heritage projects like recording a new music album, hosting a visual arts workshop or writing a non-fiction history book,” Cr Reck said.

Applications can be made at www.lockyervalley.qld.gov.au/RADF and must be submitted to Council by 9am, Monday 12 October 2026.

RADF is a partnership between Lockyer Valley Regional Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
