Register now for free event networking session
Community groups and event organisers are invited to attend the upcoming Community Group Networking Session.
Hosted by Lockyer Valley Regional Council, the free event will be held on Saturday 13 July at the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre, 34 Lake Apex Drive, Gatton from 9.30am - 1.30pm.
The Community Group Networking Session has been organised in response to feedback gathered at the recent Event Strategy consultations.
Lockyer Valley Mayor, Cr Tanya Milligan said attendees would have the chance to network with other members of community groups and community event organisers.
"If you're looking to expand your knowledge of event planning or network with like-minded people within our community, this is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
"Join us at the Community Group Networking Session to discuss possible future workshops, share ideas and build on existing relationships.
"You can also have your say on the content of the community workshop program for 2019-20, as well as attend two of four 10-min 'power sessions' on Marketing on a Budget, Traffic Management for Events, Permits and Licensing and Money doesn't grow on Trees.
"This is an opportunity to gain the necessary skills to run sustainable community events," Mayor Milligan said.
There is no cost, however spaces are limited to three representatives per organisation, so please reserve your seats early! Brunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
Registration forms are available at Council offices, Lockyer Valley Libraries, the Visitor Information Centre or by emailing lockyerevents@lvrc.qld.gov.au
