Temporary Closure of Part of William Kemp RV Park

PUBLIC NOTICE

Lockyer Valley Regional Council hereby gives public notice of its intention to temporarily close a section of the William Kemp RV Park, pursuant to Section 8 (3)(b) of Local Law No. 4 (Local Government Controlled Areas, Facilities and Roads), 2011.

Details of Proposed Closure

• Location: William Kemp RV Park, East Street, Gatton
• Area Affected: The southern end of the RV park, being the area adjacent to the solid fence.
• Proposed Closure Period: Up to six (6) months
• Commencement Date: Friday, 15 May 2026
• Anticipated Reopening Date: Monday, 9 November 2026

Purpose of Closure

The temporary closure is proposed to protect the health and safety of the community, namely the Gatton Kindergarten, which is located in close proximity to the southern end of the William Kemp RV Park.

The closure is considered necessary to mitigate potential risks to children, staff, and the wider community, and to support a safe and appropriate operational environment for to the kindergarten.
