Park makeovers for Littleton Park, Gatton and Lions Park, Laidley
Work at both Littleton Park and Lions Park are set to begin soon, with the existing playground to be fully removed and a brand-new park installed by mid-2026 (weather permitting).
Built from Australian-made and recycled materials, both parks will see all new playground equipment, new shade sails, inclusive equipment and new softfall.
The diverse range of equipment is designed to encourage physical, cognitive, social and emotional play.
These works have been proudly funded by the Queensland Government.
Council Meeting
The next Ordinary Meeting of Lockyer Valley Regional Council will be held on Wednesday, 18 March 2026 at the Council Chambers, Gatton commencing at 9am.
Now recruiting - Tourism Officer
Council is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Tourism and Special Projects team as a Tourism Officer.
In this position you’ll help showcase the Lockyer Valley by delivering high-quality visitor services at the Visitor Information Centre, including stock maintenance, bookings, data entry, digital platforms support and volunteer supervision.

Messy Play on Harmony Day
Laidley Library Green Space, Wednesday 18 March, 9.30-11.30am.
Join us for a bright, messy and joyful morning of play celebrating Harmony Day.
This hands-on session, run by Our Valley Communities Inc., encourages creativity, sensory exploration, and connection through messy orange themed fun. Anyone attending is encouraged to wear orange or traditional dress.
