Parks and Reserves
About Parks
Lockyer Valley Regional Council has more than 60 parks and reserves scattered across the region. There is an extensive range of parks and reserves to suit the community
Head outdoors and explore the region's very own natural playground. Parks are a place of adventure and discovery, peace and tranquillity, recreation and play.
Please view the fact sheet below to find a park near you.
This fact sheet highlights which facilities have toilets, BBQs, playgrounds, shelters, tables and chairs, skate bowls (skateparks) and exercise equipment. The document will assist you in finding a park that meets your needs.
Maintenance
Lockyer Valley parks and reserves are maintained by Council on a regular basis. However, if a park needs attention please contact Council on 1300 005 872.
Book a park
Council welcomes the community to use Lockyer Valley parks for special gatherings such as weddings, parties and events.
This process is in place to make necessary maintenance preparations and avoid overuse of facilities.
However, submitting a park booking does not give the applicant exclusive use of the park; it is public open space and must be able to be used by all of the community. A first come, first served basis will apply. When booking a park, the applicant agrees:
- That the park will not be damaged;
- The area will be left in a clean and tidy condition; and
- The appropriate Public Liability Insurance will be held by the applicant for the event.
