Youth Week 2024
Queensland Youth Week celebrates and recognises the talents, achievements and contributions of young people to their community, our state and the world around them. In 2024, Queensland Youth Week ran from 7-13 April.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Youth Week events were supported by the Queensland Government’s Localised Mental Health Initiatives Fund, and included a Movie Night, Youth Expo and Skateboarding Jam. Over 380 people attended the events across Youth Week, and positive feedback was received from the community and the youth service providers in attendance.
Thank you to the community for supporting these events, to the activity providers who kept the young attendees and their families entertained, and to the volunteers from The Salvation Army and the Rotary Club who provided catering services at the Youth Expo.
Special thanks also go to the youth service providers who gave their valuable time at the Youth Expo, providing information, resources and activities for our region’s young people:
